Our core objectives

Cadia has the following objectives in respect of servicing the needs of its members:

  • To promote inter-trading and business development opportunities for the members.
  • To continue as the premier independent business association consulted by local, regional and national government bodies and to be the voice for the local business community.
  • To assist in retaining a skilled, quality workforce and develop further opportunities throughout the area.
  • To encourage inward investment into the Gatwick Diamond
  • To develop links throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, where applicable, for the membership.
  • To act as a source of information and advice on local and national issues and to make representations on behalf of the membership

All Executive Council members give their time and expertise freely and voluntarily. We take this opportunity to thank them for their help and assistance.

 

The Chairman is Iain MacLeod, partner at Thomas Eggar LLP while the Vice Chairman is Steve Pullen, Manufacturing Manager at Varian.

 

Iain said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Chairman of Cadia following on from Keith Pordum who has been such an excellent Chairman. I see the most important aspects of the position as ensuring that Cadia continues to:

· raise its profile amongst the business community

· deliver valuable services to all its members and

· contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Gatwick Diamond Area."

 

Steve added: “I’m honoured to be given the opportunity to serve Cadia as its Vice Chairman. I’ve lived and worked in the Gatwick Diamond area all my professional life and I’m fully aware of its ongoing importance as a vibrant economic hub. I hope to be able to bring my experience to bear in doing full justice to this important role.”
